Terms of Service

By accessing or using Globe Streaks (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Globe Streaks reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Updates take effect when posted. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

Globe Streaks is provided for personal, educational, and entertainment use. You may:

• Play any game mode for personal enjoyment or learning.
• Use Globe Streaks in educational settings such as classrooms, with or without teacher involvement.
• Create and share challenge links with friends or other players.
• Link to Globe Streaks from personal websites, social media, or other platforms.

Globe Streaks offers optional user accounts. You are not required to create an account to play any game mode. Guest play is fully supported without providing any personal information.

If you choose to create an account:

• You must provide a valid email address. You agree not to use a false, impersonated, or unauthorised email address.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you are under 18, you represent that you have permission from a parent or guardian.
• You may not create accounts on behalf of others without their explicit consent, or create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions.
• Globe Streaks reserves the right to terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Account authentication is provided by Supabase, Inc. By creating an account you also agree to be bound by Supabase's Terms of Service as they apply to end users of Supabase-powered applications.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account. This includes choosing a strong password and keeping it confidential. Globe Streaks will never ask you for your password by email or any channel other than the sign-in form.

If you believe your account has been accessed without your authorisation, contact us immediately using the information in Section 16. Globe Streaks is not liable for losses caused by unauthorised access to your account where you have failed to maintain adequate security.

You agree not to:

• Use automated scripts, bots, or tools to generate artificial traffic, game scores, or interactions with Globe Streaks.
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or interfere with the Service or its infrastructure.
• Probe, scan, or test the Service for vulnerabilities without prior written authorisation.
• Exploit bugs or unintended behaviour for competitive advantage or to harm other users' experience.
• Scrape, harvest, or systematically collect Globe Streaks content in a manner that places unreasonable load on the Service or is used for commercial purposes without permission.
• Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations.
• Misuse challenge links to deceive or harm other users.
• Attempt to access another user's account data, circumvent authentication, or tamper with session cookies.
• Upload, transmit, or otherwise introduce malicious code, scripts, or content through any account feature.

The Globe Streaks name, logo, original interface design, game mechanics, original question sets, and other original content are the intellectual property of Globe Streaks and its creators. All rights are reserved.

Country names, flag imagery, geographic information, demographic statistics, and trade data used in Globe Streaks are sourced from publicly available or third-party datasets (including World Bank and UN Comtrade data). Globe Streaks does not claim ownership of that underlying data. Use of that data within Globe Streaks is consistent with the terms of the applicable public or open licences.

You may not reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works from Globe Streaks' original content without prior written permission.

Globe Streaks aims to present accurate geographic, demographic, economic, and political information. However, Globe Streaks makes no guarantee that all country names, borders, flags, capitals, statistics, or other information is error-free, complete, or continuously current.

• Territorial disputes, unrecognised states, and contested borders may not be reflected.
• Statistics such as population, GDP, and land area are sourced from third-party datasets and may lag behind real-world changes.
• Country names and official designations may not match every country's preferred self-description.

Globe Streaks is provided for educational and entertainment purposes. It should not be relied upon as a definitive source for legal, political, or official geographic information.

Globe Streaks is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the Service. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, without notice. We are not liable for any loss arising from such changes.

Guest progress is stored locally in your browser. Globe Streaks cannot restore local data lost due to browser clearing, device changes, or technical issues. Account-based progress is stored in cloud infrastructure provided by Supabase, but Globe Streaks does not guarantee the availability or integrity of cloud-stored data and is not liable for its loss.

Globe Streaks uses third-party services including:

• Supabase — provides user authentication and cloud database storage for account holders. Use of Supabase is subject to the Supabase Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
• Google Analytics 4, Vercel Web Analytics, Vercel Speed Insights — analytics and performance monitoring.
• Google Fonts — font delivery.

Use of these services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Globe Streaks is not responsible for the practices or content of these third-party providers.

The Service may link to external websites. Globe Streaks does not endorse or control those sites and is not responsible for their content or privacy practices.

Globe Streaks reserves the right to block or restrict access from IP addresses or users that engage in prohibited conduct, including automated abuse, scraping, attempts to circumvent authentication, or attempts to disrupt the Service. Globe Streaks may terminate or suspend accounts without notice where a violation of these Terms has occurred or is suspected.

Globe Streaks is a general-audience service. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Children under 13 should use Globe Streaks only with the involvement or permission of a parent, guardian, or school. We do not provide verified age-gating. Children under 13 should not create user accounts; account features are intended for users aged 13 and over.

Globe Streaks is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Globe Streaks disclaims all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that defects will be corrected. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of any geographic, statistical, or other information presented. We do not warrant that account data or cloud-stored progress will be available at all times or will not be lost.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Globe Streaks and its creators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Service — including loss of data, loss of streaks or game progress, loss of account access, or service interruptions — even if advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of Globe Streaks shall not exceed the amount you paid to use the Service. Because Globe Streaks is free, this limit is zero in most cases.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. The specific jurisdiction governing these Terms has not yet been formally established. Before relying on these Terms in any legal context, you should confirm the governing jurisdiction with Globe Streaks directly.

Globe Streaks may update these Terms at any time by posting a revised version at this URL. Updates take effect when posted. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent revision.
